What a dizzying, near-sleepless last couple of days. Got a lot of work done…not all of it, but a big ol’ chunk. Each time I hit “send,” it feels like a tiny bit of the world’s weight has lifted off my shoulders. That’s a beautiful thing.
Went to the farmer’s market at Larchmont Villiage on Sunday to load up on some veggies. Nothing beats fresh baby bok choy, carrots pulled straight from the earth and of course, that cauliflower. I just had my daily dose of baked cauliflower (drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with parm) which was a-mazing. I try to switch up my addictions each week, but I can’t seem to shake this one. I’m not ashamed. Now, if could just put down those green tea frappaccinos.
Oh, wait, speaking of Larchmont, I just learned that the hardware store closed in late December and will be replaced by [gasp] Panda Express. There are no words! Did I mention that the bagel shop is about to catch a brick soon, too? Is it just me or is the world transforming into one big mall, right before our eyes?
Am heading to Sundance in a few days – it’s my first time, don’t tell anyone. Did laundry today, so at least I’ll have clean shirts and knickers for my four days at the film fest. I’ve gotten so many e-mails about parties and swag suites, I’m beginning to wonder if I’m the only square who’s actually excited about seeing the films. Will be sure to report from Park City…if I have the time.
Before I sign off, gotta send some 7-month birthday love to baby Sofia!
