July issues are on the stands!
Ask anyone who knows me well and they will tell you that gray skies do a number on my psyche. Hence, June Gloom 2009 is wearing me all the way o-u-t! Waking up without the sun in my eyes is just not right. [sulking]
Then I remembered that my latest cover story is on the stands and everything seemed right with the world again. If you haven’t already, check out July cover girl, Queen Latifah. For those of you that have been following her career, do you realize that it’s been 20 years since she released her debut, All Hail the Queen?
She’s come a long way since ’89 and this many years later, she continues to make her mark, across genres. Her longevity, her grind, is ridiculous. I am so not mad.
