I didn’t get a chance to catch The Break-Up<\/span> during its theatrical run, but I’ve grown to love this movie via HBO. Have you seen it?<\/p>\n

Well, as I sit here battling my latest bout of writer’s block, I’m watching it, yet again, and I must admit that I learn something new each time I see it.<\/p>\n

On the surface, it appears to be about Gary and Brooke’s break-up (and of course, their battle over who’ll get to keep that fabulous Chi-town condo). But, if you look a little closer, you’ll see that it’s also about friendship, family, loyalty, professionalism, maturity and accepting when you’ve gotten to that place where you know<\/span> you have to let go…even if you’re not quite ready. What I love most about this movie is that there seems to be a glimmer of hope at the end. Life is all about timing. So is love. Could it be that I need to readjust my clock?<\/p>\n

Catch it the next time you’re surfing through your channels. Oh, and Marilyn “who<\/span> am I?” Dean (played by Judy Davis) is really quite fierce!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
