Let said civilian blood be from the body of a black man and the boys-in-blue are <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">definitely<\/span> walking. It feels like an epidemic and sadly, there seems to be a high-profile case every 5 &#8211; 10 years involving New York&#8217;s finest using excessive force &#8211; Abner Louima and Amadou Diallo immediately come to mind.<\/p>\n<p>Am waiting for the D.A. to make his statement on CNN.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, what are we going to do? How do we shield ourselves from the violence administered by those who are paid to &#8220;serve &amp; protect&#8221; us?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">UPDATE: Queens D.A., Richard Brown, &#8220;accepts&#8221; the verdict and asks that we &#8220;accept&#8221; it, too.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Sean Bell verdict is in.
