Really, what’s it all about?<\/p>\n
We are living in some perilous times, I tell you. For starters, I should admit that the midterm elections have got me shook. Like, mad<\/span> shook! The political ads that are running out here in Cali are crazy…the mudslinging and name calling all in the name of power? It’s disgusting! And I pray (and have my sample voting ballot ready, too!) that the unqualified I-just-want-to-be-governor-because-I’m-done-with-my-corporate-career<\/span> charlatans will not land in Sacramento making decisions for any<\/span> of us. There’s too much at stake for these folks to be playing around in politics while trying to take care of their fellow one-percenters.<\/p>\n Aside from that – and that’s enough!<\/span> – I’ve been watching far too much television lately, which is not really the best thing. I’m convinced that as a nation, we care more about who will take home the shiny, “Dancing with the Stars” trophy than we do about social issues. As usual, I think a lil’ sushi for dinner might be just the thing to lighten my mood. Then, perhaps, I will try to contemplate life, yet again. I have vowed to stuff the remote under the sofa cushions until I can think clearly.<\/p>\n But really, I wish Alfie<\/a> would just call me up and offer some answers. The first thing I might ask him is, “Is this<\/span> all there is?” There’s got to be more to it, with it, than this<\/span>.
