Was watching VH1 Soul yesterday, as per my usual!, and got all caught up in Sade’s Nothing Can Come Between Us, shot simply, fabulously, in black & white. Everything about her is beyond words, beyond this world.
As the video faded out, I got to thinking that, perhaps, she might have been a bit off-base when she once sang that love is stronger than pride. Is it really? If it was, surely I would have picked up the phone by now…but I simply can’t. And now it’s too late in the game. That would mean that my pride won, right? Or does it mean that I’m just wrong?
